Launching of 'Sehat Sandeshvahini' on February 20,2014

For publicity of health schemes under National Health Mission and Routine Immunization program being implemented in rural Uttar Pradesh, February 20 2014 witnessed the launch of Mobile Video Van Project by the honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh who flagged off 50 video vans by the name of 'Sehat Sandeshvahini' in Uttar Pradesh.

The Sehat Sandeshvahini Program is being implemented by SIFPSA in 18 divisions covering all 75 districts. This program is funded by National Health Mission.

The program, in its first phase, has been launched in 11 divisions of Uttar Pradesh covering 526 blocks from 48 districts. From each block, 20 villages have been selected where the video vans will be used for showing films with the purpose of creating community awareness towards health aspects related to RMNCH+A (Reproductive, Maternal, New Born, Child and Adolescent Health).

After each film show, a question & answer session will be held with the village community for assessing the level of understanding of RMNCH +A. Health related queries raised by the community will be answered by the Counselor present in the vehicle along with the Medical Officer In-charge , ANM, ASHA and other monitoring officers.
