Who We Are

State Innovations in Family Planning Services Project Agency (SIFPSA) has been a joint venture of Government of India, USAID and Government of Uttar Pradesh under Indo-US bilateral agreement for implementing the Innovations in Family Planning Services (IFPS) project in the State. During the two decades of successful implementation of IFPS project, SIFPSA has made its mark in the global arena in Family Planning and Reproductive Child Health.

New vistas have opened up for SIFPSA, post IFPS Project, with new resolve to expand its horizons in other areas of healthcare, utilizing its vibrant knowledge repository and technical skills and carry on its legacy as a Technical Support Organisation of excellence. Consistent with this vision, SIFPSA continues to strive for carrying out innovative strategies and best practices in the field of Family Planning and Reproductive Child Health and is all set to forging partnerships with national and international organisations to take on the increasing challenges of universal health goals.

SIFPSA is unique with its belongingness to Government of Uttar Pradesh and ownership of Government of India, a good mix of government and professional management, taking up public and private activities simultaneously, offering services both in government and NGO sector. While SIFPSA has championed itself in innovative interventions in programme management, community participation, mass media campaigns, strengthening public sector, quality assurance and private sector involvement on a wider scale, it has an inherent linkage with the National Health Mission in Uttar Pradesh.

SIFPSA has plans to expand its activities in the districts that are not covered by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for providing technical and program management support in the area of RMNCH+A. With our commitment to population stabilisation SIFPSA has signed a MoUs with Population Foundation of India (PFI) for working together on population issues. SIFPSA has also signed MOUs with Population Health Foundation of India (PHFI), Community Empowerment Lab (CEL), World Health Partners (WHP), Final Mile, HLFPPT and Evidence Action to garner synergy in achieving common goals.

SIFPSA is geared up for strategic alliance with other state governments, national/international organizations, donors and socially responsible corporate sector for technical association in program designing and management to capture potential demands like program MIS, monitoring & supervision, research & evaluation studies, formulating IEC/BCC strategies, creative campaigns, clinical and non-clinical trainings, innovative PPP models, social franchising and CSR prospects.

SIFPSA's biggest strength has been its decentralized planning and well laid down management systems. With strong State wide network of Divisional PMUs, SIFPSA has a unique capacity of providing technical assistance in program implementation at the field level or piloting an innovating project at the grass root level.

SIFPSA believes in building relationships for mutual cooperation and strengthening its bonds with old associates for realization of Millennium Development Goals and making family life healthier and happier.
