Write up on Clinical Family Planning activities

SIFPSA is supporting Clinical Family Planning activities in state. There are presently 10 Facility Based Clinical Family Planning Centres established at ; Agra, Allahabad, Azamgarh, Meerut, Moradabad, Mirzapur, Saharanpur, Kanpur Nagar, Jhansi & Varanasi. These centres were established as Divisional Clinical Training Centres (DCTC) way back in 2008-09 by SIFPSA in District Women Hospitals wherein infrastructure, equipment/instrument, renovation, repair of training hall, OT were done with support of manpower to facilitate training. Trainers developed for Laparoscopic/Minilap, IUCD and PPIUCD training. Later, NHM supported these centres and various training conducted in these training centres. In present year, SIFPSA is again supporting 10 FBCTCs for manpower, admin and other support to these FBCTCs for facilitating various NHM funded clinical FP Trainings. All 10 FBCTCs are functional and conducting Lap/Minilap, PPIUCD trainings.

SIFPSA had established Centre of Excellence at Urology Department, King George Medical University for Promotion and training of NSV for state. Later, three satellite NSV Centres were also established at Department of Surgery, GSVM, Medical College, Kanpur, LLRM Medical College, Meerut & MLN Medical College, Allahabad.

SIFPSA is supporting these training centres besides NHM funding.

As of now, a total of 536 doctors & SNs have been trained in PPIUCD, 45 in NSV, 15 MOs & 17 SNs in Lap Induction, 11 MOs in Minilap and 4 MOs in Minilap TOT in 2015-16.
